The intense level of support required during labor and birth must be accompanied by compassion, understanding, and connection. We begin our support process by listening and learning. We want to know who you are, what makes you tick, and what you want to experience during your birth. We know this is a unique experience, and we want to help make yours spectacular!
No one invites a stranger to their birth, so we start with a visit to begin building a relationship.
This home visit between you, your partner, and your doula starts as an opportunity to take a deep dive into your birth wishes and any fears that may surround the experience, but you’ll quickly realize that you’ve found a confidante to go the distance with you. As the visit comes to an end, you’ll somehow feel like you’ve known this person for years, rather than hours, and you’ll be eager and excited about the road ahead.
We’ll be on call 24 hours a day, excitedly waiting for you to call and say, “Today’s the day we meet our baby!”

When the time comes, your doula will be right there by you. With a gentle touch from her compassionate hands, she’ll guide you through every moment of labor. From soothing breathing techniques to comforting massage and strategic adjustments in positioning, your doula will be right beside you and your partner ensuring that you feel empowered and supported every step of the way.
The expertise of each member of the Vegas Family Doulas team isn’t just in the techniques, but in understanding the nuances of each client’s individual needs and desires surrounding their experience. We listen intently to your wishes and strive tirelessly to help make them a reality. Once you and your baby are settled in at home, we’ll come see you for some strategic newborn planning and a well wish!

Birth and the early postpartum period with a new baby is an exciting time in a family’s life but it can also feel a bit overwhelming. Within a day to seven days of your baby’s arrival, your doula will arrange a time to come and spend a little time with you. During this visit, she will chat with you about your birth, discuss how feeding, sleeping and baby care are going, and offer strategies that align with your parenting philosophies.
